Peanug is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice functions as a bridge between the endless possibilities of the digital world and the fleeting moments of everyday life. Working under his alias, Jamie Nixon utilizes Virtual Reality sculpting, photography, and more --- to navigate the intersection of internal feelings and external observation.

   Utilizing the immersive stillness of VR sculpting, Peanug translates complex internal dialogues into tangible 3D sculptures and illustrations. This practice was born from a period of hardship, serving as a vital form of escapism that allowed him to find a sense of control and "elsewhere." What began as a sanctuary evolved into a pursuit of profound serenity, where heavy emotions are intentionally transmuted into positive forms.

   In contrast to the construction of his 3D work, Nug’s photography is driven by a constant, almost compulsive need to document the world in real-time.
